These were very nice looking medium weight quality plastic plates. We used them for pie and they held a heavy large piece of apple pie andnall the.lighter pies quite well with no fear of the plate bending and no difficulty cutting on the plate and eating on your lap. I was pleasantly surprised because I went for the acceptable plate and ended up with a quality plate. They reallyncould be washed and reused without any trouble...if it wasn't for all the other Christmas dishes I might have saved them to use throughout the year but I couldn't bear the thought of washing another dish more than I had to by that point so they went in the trash as originally planned.
