We had previously ordered the Sorrento Dinner Plates and were very pleased with them. The salad plates are of the same quality and like the dinner plates, do not heat up in the microwave. I would have given them 5 stars but really wished they were just a bit larger as the edge is quite wide and takes up a great deal of the plate. We have ordered the utility bowls and look forward to using them also.Love these pieces, mostly. The color is perfect. The pieces are really well made and heavy. My only drawback is that they are getting discolored and scratched a little around the edges. I think it's from stacking them on top of each other. It's okay because it's kind of a 'rustic' design. If I'd known this beforehand, I would have ordered a different set.I have purchased the whole set of these dishes and love them. I like the styling that all the plates are not the same design, salad plates have a different pattern than dinner plates and bowls but that they are all tied together and look like a complete set. I like the weight of these plates and bowls and that they have many pieces to choose from. Shipping and packaging was done well and nothing broke when it arrived.I love these plates. I love the tuscan style of them. I also have the dinner plates, deep cereal/soup bowls, and pasta bowls from this collection. The part I was worried about upon ordering was if they would get too hot in the microwave when heating things up like my old plates. They don't! Great plates!Matched the ones I have perfectly.They look beautiful on top of my red Christmas plates.I first bought a set of sixteen burgundy . They seemed alright so ordered more salad plates. I guess they must have aged because they have pimples or small lumps on them. Don't buy them . You eventually will be sorry.The pattern was attractive but the rims of all the plates in the set of six contained imperfections. There were numerous brown discolorations on the rims of every plate.
